Life
Life is a bitch. One moment everything is grand, the next moment everything is crashing down around you and your left wondering where everything went wrong. This has been my year to date. 2012 was fantastic, a little hard to handle at times, but that’s typical (at least I think it is). 2013 on the other hand started off hectic and has thus far just gotten worse. Yes, their has been one or two good (not amazing but nice all the same) things that have happened. For example: My signifigant other and I have just recently bought newer vehicles (after both of ours stopped working earlier this year) and so far they are still running with no problems. And, we are about to celebrate our sixth year anniversary in June. I have no idea what yet we will be doing but I do hope that our bad luck doesn’t ruin it.
Outside of those everything else has been doing down hill, fast. My job, I work in clothing, is now implementing a new rule that will take effect in September on a company wide scale. From that point on anyone that does not have full-time statues will ONLY be able to work a max of 24 hours a week. That means over 80% of my co-workers will have their hours cut almost in half, myself included. And while I have an option to go full-time I can not take it because to become full time you have to be able to work any shift at any time and have no restrictions for when you work. This isn’t possible for me because I am currently getting ready to go back to collage after 2 years of absence. Thus I am stuck attempting to locate another job, one that preferable pays well. And to think, that is only the most recent thing that has happened. I have also had my car almost blow up (the old one), close family members pass away, and a break-in. The break-in was by far the most tramatic of the experiences though. It wasn’t because my signifigant other or I was home when it happened (though if I wouldn’t have wanted to pick up a couple of groceries we might have been), no it was because it was done by a friend of ours. One that we had been trying to help out for the last couple of months, going so far as to let him stay in our appartment on the couch while he tried to find a place of his own. He betrayed us, broke into our home, stole over $8,000 worth of stuff, and then lied to us about it. I wanted to kill him. I really did. I wanted to beat him to a bloody pulp and let him bleed to death, which really isn’t like me at all but I was just that upset. Eventually he was caught red-handed and went to jail for theft, selling stolen property, and violating his parole. We still haven’t gotten our things back.
